And then he prayed, “God, I’m asking for two things before I die; don’t refuse me— Banish lies from my lips and liars from my presence. Give me enough food to live on, neither too much nor too little. If I’m too full, I might get independent, saying, ‘God? Who needs him?’ If I’m poor, I might steal and dishonor the name of my God.”
Proverbs 30:7-9 MSG
When I was in high school, I bought a book for a friend. The book was called Positive Life, written by a pastor who has AIDS, and he shared his difficulties and his entire life on that book.. I am a kinda person who buys books because of titles, cover page or am interested in the topic and they have to be nonfiction, currently I don’t have the stamina to read fiction, though I write fiction. Where was I going with this??? Oh! So, on the back page, he wrote, “all I ever wanted was my life to matter”. And it was that sentence that made me pay for that book. Needless to say, the friend didn’t like it, so I ended up basking in its wisdom. I loved it, one of the few books that changed my life, I was never the same after reading that (by the way I will share my list of the books that changed my life, and give away some).
-My dream life is simply a meaningful life, a life that is not wasted like Lecrae’s song -Don’t Waste Your Life.
-My dream life is a life of impact, where I bring Jesus and His amazing power where I am planted. I dream to be a full time missionary, I desire to serve God as a missionary, but am slowly learning that we are all missionaries right where we are, we can represent Jesus even in social media or to our neighbours.
-I desire to live a life of wonder, filled with adventure, where I get to travel a lot, get blown away by the wind at the beach, jogging facing the sunset/sunrise, and sing so loud in the car a lot.
-I desire to live a life of peace, freedom and joy. A life where I am loving who I am, and I cherish who I keep on becoming.
-I desire to live a life where I am on the front lines for justice and freedom, especially on an individual level, I dream to be a voice of encouragement to people.
-I desire to live a selfless life, where I am blessed to be a blessing.
-I desire to live a life of worship, stewardship, and relationship with God. In His presence there is joy and peace, I search for in the world.
-I desire a life of connection and friendship. Real talks and no pretense.
-I desire to live a life where I laugh so hard my body hurts after that, eat variety of foods, cry so much, I release all the pain, dance so good, I feel the rhythm, and love so much,I feel alive.
My dream life is not unattainable, it is attainable. I am living it now. My dream life is lived today, I am not waiting for it to start tomorrow. We only live once on this side of heaven, why not make once worth it?
